Season-Long Produce

As on any farm, our produce availability varies with the seasons. However, we try to supply the following items fairly consistently from spring to fall:

 20+ heritage varieties of lettuce

Spicy salad mix (w/ red mustard)

Red mustard or arugula (depending on the season) added to our Mesclun Salad Mix

A mix of baby greens without the lettuce, such as rainbow chard, Red Russian kale, mizuna and beet greens

Baby frilly leaves, slightly nutty flavour, and tenderest when small

Baby- to medium-sized decorative leaves with pink stems, great for salads or cooked (not always available)

This year we are growing the large and flavourful Brandywine and Cherokee Purple, as well as the heirloom Doukhobor variety, Black Cherry, and sweet Sungolds

Several varieties of head- and leaf-lettuces available, including Romaine, Sierra, Grand Rapids and Merlot

Potatoes

A first attempt this year, we will be marketing the Russian Banana (a fingerling) and Russian Blue varieties

Spaghetti squash fruit

Squash

Varieties this year will include butternut, delicata, gold nugget, and Ronde de Nice, some harvested as babies to be prepared much like zucchini
